Prep and Labeling of processed food info meeting April 11
Purdue Extension of Blackford County will offer an informational meeting Saturday, April 11 at 6 p.m. at the Pickle Restaurant at 1776 Independence Parkway in Hartford City.
The purpose of the meeting is to avert any misunderstandings of the Indiana State Department of Health regulations regarding Home Based Vendors.
In attendance will be Linda Briles of the Blackford County Health Department. She will be able to answer questions regarding preparation and labeling of saleable items.
Also in attendance will be Jim Ferguson of Growers and Makers Market of Hartford City.

Wildflower Walk at Gene Stratton-Porter site
On Saturday, April 25, the Gene Stratton-Porter’ Wildflower Woods site on Sylvan Lake near Rome City will offer a Wildflower Walk and Brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Cost is $20 per person with reservations needed by April 17.
Brunch will be served in the Carriage House and a 30 to 45 minute interpretive walking tour will follow. 
Both the woods and “tame” garden will be visited. The event will be held rain or shine.

Car, Truck & Bike Show April 25
An open Car, Truck and Bike Show will be held Saturday, April 25 at Living Faith Missionary Church at 17718 Bluffton Road in Yoder. The event is sponsored by the church youth group.
All types of motorcycles, cars and trucks can enter. Door prizes and trophies will be awarded. A registration fee of $10 will be charged for each entry. Concessions will be available on site.
This is the main fundraiser for the church youth. Proceeds will provide opportunities for the youth to attend youth camps and events.
