CAC seeking summer intern
Wells County’s Creative Arts Council is seeking a part-time summer intern to assist in the office from mid-May to the end of July.
CAC Joel Harmeyer explains it would be a perfect opportunity for a college student home for the summer. Resumes are being accepted at the CAC office in the Arts Commerce & Visitors Centre.

Master Gardener Volunteer Program 
Fall Master Gardener Training will begin on Sept. 9 and end Nov. 14. These classes are held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 9 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m.
The $125 program fee includes class materials and a reference notebook.

The Purdue University Master Gardener volunteer program helps gardeners grow by providing them with intensive training in horticultural principles. Participants, in turn, share their knowledge by providing volunteer leadership and service to their communities. 

Spring Fling April 25
The 5th annual Spring Fling will be held Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bluffton National Guard Armory at 500 E. Spring, Bluffton. Free admission.

Raising Chickens Class May 9
Raising Chickens for Food and Fun, a free class, open to the public, will be held Saturday, May 9 at 1 p.m. at the Allen County Extension Office (on the IPFW Campus).
Julie Scheele has been an RN for 30 years, and is currently homeschooling two teenagers. She has raised chickens for the last 8 years; her family involved in 4-H for five of those eight years. 
She will share general information about chickens and raising them for meat, eggs, or both.  Reasons to raise chickens, getting started, and special considerations including neighbors, restrictions on raising birds in cities (including Fort Wayne), and more.

Dancing with the Stars at the Embassy July 31
Dancing with the Stars: Live” will be bringing the Perfect 10 Tour to the Fort Wayne Embassy Theatre on Friday, July 31 at 8 p.m.
The cast will be led by Melissa Rycroft and include pro dancers Witney Carson, Valentine Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd and Emma Slater and troupe dancers Alan Bersten, Brittany Cherry, Sasha Farber and Jenna Johnson. The 90 minute show will feature new choreography as well as memorable number from the 10 seasons of Dancing with the Stars.
