Story in Chicken Soup  book
Rhonda K. Maller of Bluffton has a story included in the current Chicken Soup for the Soul book titled “Time to Thrive.”
Her story, “Taught by Teens” is one of 101 inspiring stories about growth, wisdom and dreams included in the soft cover book.
Maller is a writer who writes blogs and social media and marketing copy for companies throughout the U.S. and also is a freelance inspirational writer/speaker. She enjoys reading, writing, crafting, traveling and spending time wither her family, including 13 grandchildren and friends.

FW Philharmonic Online auction April 29
“You are Instrumental” is the title of the online auction that will be conducted by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic from April 29 to May 9.
Starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, bidders may go to www.32auctions.com/thephil to bid on “amazing packages and spectacular gifts.” Accounts may be set up in advance and bidding will continue for a week.
A wide variety of items are available from entertainment packages to food adventures.  All proceeds from this event will go directly to support the Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s programs and performances.

Free Comic Book Day at Huntington and Markle May 2
The Huntington City-Twp. Public Library and Markle Branch will be participating in Free Comic Book Day Saturday, May 2. 
Taking place annually on the first Saturday in May, Free Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops and public libraries across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who walks through the door. 
Starting at 9 a.m., any patron who enters either library location on Saturday, May 2 can receive two free comic books while supplies last. 
The Huntington Main Library will also be screening the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past (rated PG-13) with free popcorn, to begin around noon.
A wide variety of comics will be given for free this year, including but not limited to Doctor Who, Avengers, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Supermutant Magic Academy, Jojo Bizarre Adventure and Yu-gi-oh, and Lady Justice. 
The Huntington Library is located at 255 West Park Drive, Huntington, and the Markle Branch at 197 East Morse Street, Markle.

Parks Department Pee Wee Swim Registration May 9
Pee Wee Swim Registration will be held at City Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. Cost is $6 per child. 

Lessons will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the week of June 22. Swim time is from 11-11:45 a.m. and a parent must get in the water with each child. No unattended children on pool deck during lessons. Limited enrollment. For more information call 824-6069.
