Congratulations to the more than 1,100 kids, teens and adults who finished the 2010 Summer Reading Program at the Wells County Public Library.
In the adult program, 230 readers read a total of 2,559 books. The finishers enjoyed a buffet dinner with prizes that were generously donated by area businesses. The donor list is available in the library and online.
The teens had 146 readers who completed the program. The teens, ages 12-18, read a whopping 1,384 books to earn 2,503 tickets to qualify for great prizes. Food, games and the awarding of prizes highlighted their party.
In the children’s program, 556 kids finished all of the Summer Reading Program challenges. The younger children enjoyed a lively performance by The Yurtfolk while kids in grades 4-6 had an after-hours party with food and games.
