Elks Port-a-Pit Chicken fundraiser
June 13
The Bluffton Elks Lodge will sponsor a Port-a-Pit fundraiser Saturday, June 13 until 2 p.m. at the Lowe's parking lot in Bluffton.
Sold will be pork chops, ribs and chicken.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 824-2824 after 3 p.m. or stopping by the lodge.
Proceeds will go toward scholarships for next year. The group gave $7,000 to seven graduating seniors in May.

Dad's Ride to Crush Cancer June 20
Dad's Ride to Crush Cancer will be held Saturday, June 20 at Hier's Park in Huntington.
The event is being held to honor the memory of Darnell Vanover, a U.S. Army veteran who lost his battle with cancer Dec. 1, 2008.
Cost is $10 per person. Registration will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A rider's meeting will be held at 12:45 p.m.
Kickstands will be up at 1 p.m.
All proceeds will benefit a local veteran battling a life threatening illness.
A handmade quilt will be raffled at the end of the ride. Refreshments will be available during the event.

Blackford County 4-H Fair
June 20-27
The Blackford County 4-H Fair will be held June 20 through June 27 at Hartford City.
There will be a carnival, merchant's tent, concerts and more.
The parade will be held Monday, June 22 at 6 p.m. A car and motorcycle show will be held June 24 with registration from 4 to 6 p.m. Spike and the Bulldogs will be in concert at 8 p.m. on June 24.
A Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Lip Sync and Karaoke Contest will be held June 25 at 8 p.m. with a $5 entry fee.
