Free lunch at Life June 23
Life Community Church will be serve a free lunch for kids Tuesday June 23 from 11 a.m. to noon.
The lunch will consist of hotdogs, chips, cookies and a drink. Lunch will be served outside of the Life building on the Oak Street side entrance. The address of the church is 428 S. Oak Street.

Indoor garage sale at Boys & Girls Club now through July 10
The Wells County Boys and Girls Club, located at 1410 S. Wayne, will sponsor an indoor garage sale now through July 10, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Proceeds go toward a new air hockey table. Items being sold include: t-shirts, books, office supplies, kitchen gadgets, cheerleading outfits, halloween decorations, fall decorations, wooden shelves, and more! Apostolic Church June 26
A Blood Drive will be held Friday, June 26 at the Apostolic Christian Churh at 630 E. Dustman Road from noon to 6 p.m. To schedule an appointment call Melanie Gerber at 824-5540.

Archbold/Brewer Reunion June 28
The Archbold/Brewer Reunion will be held Sunday, June 28 at the 4-H Community Center in Bluffton from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lynette Johnson and Camille Havens, daughters of Evelyn Joan Archbold Brewer, are in charge of the arrangements. Evelyn Joan will be one of the birthday celebrants.

Church movie night June 28
Movie night will be held at Zanesville Community Church of God Sunday, June 28, at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to see “Pilgrim’s Progress.”

Waves of Thunder Drum Corps tour event June 28
Waves of Thunder, a 2009 Drum Corps International Tour Event will be held Sunday, June 28 at 7 p.m. at Bob Worthman Stadium at Bellmont High School at 1000 N. Adams Drive, Decatur. Tickets are $20 each or $15 with a group of 15 or more.
The top rated World and Open Class Drum Corps in the U.S. will perform. Groups include: The Cavaliers of Rosemont, Ill., Carolina Crown of Ft. Mill, SC, Glassmen of Toledo, Ohio, Boston Crusaders of Boston, Mass., Crossmen and Revolution, both of San Antonio, Texas, Racine Scots of Racine, Wisc., and Capital Regiment of Columbus, Ohio. and crafts at
Markle Library
June 30
The Markle Public Library invites kids to attend a series of free music and craft programs this summer at to complement this year’s summer reading program theme, Be Creative @ Your Library.
Kids in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to participate in Play & Create @ Your Library, to be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 14. Projects will include making maracas and time for songs and silliness.
On July 14 kids will make paper bag kites, play with Frisbees, and have fun with sidewalk chalk.
Participants must sign up for each one of the two sessions, as space is limited.

Kids Patriotic Parade June 30
Join us at Ossian Health Care Center for a patriotic parade on June 30. Decorate your bikes, trikes, wagons, pets, and/or yourselves! Compete for prizes. Entry blanks are available at Ossian Town Hall and the Brew Ha!

Photo essay display July 11
The School of Creative Arts at the University of Saint Francis will host the premier exhibition of an original photo essay, The Content of Our Character, by award-winning photographer Peter Turnley, from July 11 through Aug. 19.
The opening reception will take place on Saturday, July 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Weatherhead Gallery of the Rolland Art Center off Leesburg Road.
