Antique and Appraisal Fair June 27 at Five Points
The Friends of Five Points School will sponsor an Antique and Appraisal Fair Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5250W-1100S-90, Montpelier.
This is the first time the Friends of Five Points School has held the fair which is based on the popular PBS series Antique Roadshow. There will be volunteer appraisers on site to offer free verbal appraisals. There will also be displays of antiques and collectibles from local collectors.
The Friends will be selling brats with fried sauerkraut, peppers and onions. Plain brats, hot dogs and cold drinks will also be available. For more information call Dee Harrold at 260-824-5461 or 260-273-9144.

Ice Cream Social at Historical Museum June 28
The Wells County Historical Museum will sponsor an Ice Cream Social Sunday, June 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 420 W. Market Street in Bluffton. A free will donation will be accepted.
While enjoying ice cream those attending can check out the genealogy display and the display of Wells County churches.
Barry Jamison will provide the entertainment.

Go-Kart Race June 28 in Hartford City
The Hartford City Heritage Cup Go-Kart Race will be held Sunday, June 28 at the Sigma Phi Gamma Park in Hartford City. Practice will start at 11 a.m. The race will begin at 2 p.m.
Karts racing include: Flat Karts, Clones, Animal Champs, Junior Blue Plate Champs, Junior Purple Plate Champs, Senior Champs, Kid Karts and Junior Naskarts. The park is located in the 700 block of N. Richmond, just two blocks west of State Road 3.

Stitches of Hope Work Day June 29
Stitches of Hope, a volunteer group that crochets, sews, and knits caps for people who have lost hair due to illness will meet at the Bluffton United Methodist Church, located at 325 W. Washington St., Monday, June 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
There is no charge to join. All crafters, or people who just want to get involved, are welcome! Call 260-824-8573 for more information.

Children’s Choir
Pre-Newfoundland Tour Concert June 30
The Fort Wayne Children's Choir will perform in concert Tuesday, June 30 at 7 p.m. at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. Admission is free.
On July 4, fifty-five members of the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir will depart Fort Wayne for St. John’s, Newfoundland to participate in Festival 500, an international choral festival. Since its inception in 1997, approximately 120 choirs representing 28 countries have taken part in this community of singing. FWCC’s Concert Choir and Youth Chorale will participate in rehearsals and workshops, culminating in a massed performance on July 12. There will also be opportunities for sightseeing and visiting local shops and restaurants.

Ossian
Community-Wide Celebration June 30
Ossian Revitalization Committee will sponsor a Community Wide Celebration Tuesday, June 30 from 6 p.m. to dark at Ossian Health Care.
There will be a children's parade, live entertainment, music and children's games. The theme is centered on patriotism. The evening will end with a fireworks display. Those attending should bring their lawn chairs and picnic food.

4-H 5K Fun Run/Walk July 18
The 4-H Fun Run/Walk will be held July 18 at 7:30 a.m. at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton. Cost is $15 per person.
Race day registration starts at 6:45 a.m. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. Pre-register by June 29 and the cost is only $12. Race day registration is $15. A shorter (about 1 mile) Fun Run for those 12 and under will begin at conclusion of the 5K.
Registration will take place at the large stage at the Wells County 4-H Park. The start/finish lines as well as parking are all located near the stage.
After the race, awards will be presented at the stage to male/female overall winners and those place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their male/female age divisions. Divisions are split up by 14 & under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 & over. There will also be fruit and water following the race.
