Free computer
classes for Adults at the Library
Become friends with your computer in a fun, non-threatening atmosphere at the Wells County Public Library. Classes are free but you must register. Sign up for one or all.
Beginning Internet: Learn to search the internet on Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m. You MUST be able to comfortably use a mouse to get the most out of this class.
Intermediate internet — Take online searching a step further, discover interesting sites (travel, cooking, games, etc) on Friday, June 12 at 11 a.m. You MUST be able to use the mouse comfortably to get the most out of this class.

Dean and Phyllis Cassiday off to New York City
Dean and Phyllis Cassiday of Liberty Center will be in New York City this weekend to watch their daughter, Becky Foster of Casper, Wyo., perform with a musical group at Lincoln Center.
While there the couple will be on the deck of the aircraft carrier Intrepid for the filming of the Early Show.
Casper is a Southern Wells graduate.

Holiness Camp going on now at Monroe
The Adams County Holiness Camp is going on at 7 p.m. each evening now through June 14 at the campground on Keller Street in Monroe. On Sunday the service will be at 6 p.m.
Evangelist is Rev. Mark Avery of Kansas City, Kan. Song evangelists will be the Daniel Edwards family of Winchester. For more information call John Myers at 260-525-1997.
Jamfest @ The King's Place June 13
Calling musicians, singers, poets... and appreciative listeners to Jamfest at The King's Place, 118 W. Market Street, Bluffton, Saturday, June 13 at 6:30 p.m. Casey Fritts will be featured this month and will perform for 30 minutes throughout the evening.
Performers will get 10 minutes, more later if time permits. Performers are asked to be considerate that this is a family friendly event.
Food available at the King's Place counter, from a special Jamfest menu.

Soup 'n Sandwich lunch June 13
The Monroe United Brethren Women’s Missionary Fellowship will sponsor a Soup ‘n Sandwich Lunch Saturday, June 13, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. The church is located at 205 S. Adams Street, Monroe.
Lunch will consist of chili, chicken noodle and bean soup; sloppy jo’s, hot dogs and chili dogs; homemade pies and cakes; chips and drinks.
All proceeds go for mission projects and for sending kids to church camp. Also, maps for the community garage sales taking place that day will be available at the church.

Lions Club Karmel Korn fundraiser June 13
Members of the Lions Club of Bluffton will be selling Karmel Korn by Lowell Tillman Saturday, June 13 at the east end of the WalMart parking lot in Bluffton from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will go to Lions Club service projects.

Free kids lunch June 16 at Life
A free lunch for kids will be served Tuesday June 16 from 11 am to noon at Life Community Church located at 428 S. Oak Street, Bluffton.
The lunch will consist of hotdogs, chips, cookies and a drink. Lunch will be served outside of the Life building on the Oak Street side entrance.

Take reading
outdoors June 16
Bring the kids to a reading scavenger hunt and explore nature activities in “Take Reading Outside” Tuesday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library.
Families with children of all ages will join Jody Heaston, nature speaker and wildlife landscaping consultant, in a lively pursuit of outdoor creativity. Each child will receive a free mini journal.

Wells County 4-H fundraiser June 17
On Wednesday, June 17 Pizza Hut in Bluffton will host a fundraiser for scholarships for the Wells County 4-H Foundation from 11 a.m. to closing. Ten percent of the sales will be presented to the Wells County 4-H Foundation for scholarships.
Any item purchased during the day, June 17, will apply to the fundraiser. It is valid for dine-in, carryout or delivery orders.
4-H members and parents have free “Fundraiser Tickets” available to the public to attend the event. They are available at Wells County Extension Office and various Bluffton and Ossian businesses.

Boys & Girls Garage Sale June 19 & 20
The Boys & Girls Club will sponsor a garage sale in their gym June 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and June 20 from 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go toward the operational campaign 2009. Available will be brand new t-shirts, clothing, decorations, and more.


Park Rendezvous June 19-21
Visitors can step back in time to the pre-1840s during Ouabache State Park's Rendezvous on the Ouabache, June 19-21.
This is a living history weekend aimed at educating visitors about an important period in the history and expansion of the United States.

Forgotten Children International Benefit Golf Outing June 20
The fifth annual Forgotten Children International benefit golf outing will be held Saturday, June 20 at Timber Ridge Golf Course.
There will be a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Registration will begin at 6:45 a.m. Cost is $65 and includes golf, cart and lunch.
For a small donation teams may obtain raffle tickets for prizes, mulligans and an extra player on the par 3 holes.
There will be prizes for long drives (Seniors, Women, Men) and closest to the pin (Women, Men).
