Bluffton Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays
The Farmer’s Market is open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.
Current features include baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, red beets, potatoes, kohlrabi, herbs, creative cards, wood ornaments, puzzles, and more. (Pd. Advt.)

Balbec Daze Sept. 28
Balbec Daze will be held Saturday, Sept. 28 at the underground railroad cabin and monument, north of Pennville on State Road 1.
There will be tractor pulls, flea markets and family fun. Food available will include pie, ham and beans, fried cornbread, sausage sandwiches and more.

Harvest Festival and Movie Night Sept. 29
Faith Chapel, located on the property of the old Decatur Drive-In Movie Theater will sponsor the second annual Harvest Festival Sunday, Sept. 29 starting at 1 p.m.
A free lunch, consisting of Garbage Can Stew and other great dishes, will be served at 1 p.m. Following the meal activities will include cake walk, bingo, corn hole, fishing contest, and horseshoes. There  will be prizes.
At 8 p.m. the festival will close out with the Christian theme movie, “Amazing Love” shown at the old drive in movie theater on the big 78 foot screen. 
Those attending should bring lawn chairs. There will be free popcorn and drinks.
The church is located at 3928 North Salem Road in Decatur.

Turkey Shoot Oct. 13 in Willshire
The Willshire Sportsman’s Club will be sponsor a Turkey Shoot on Sunday Oct.13 starting at noon. It will be held on the club grounds located two miles east of Willshire, Ohio on St. Rd. 81.
Only 12 gauge shotguns will be permitted and shells will be furnished. Youth shoots for children aged 16 and younger will be held. Only 20 gauge shotguns will be permitted for the youth shoots and shells will be furnished.
A lunch stand will be serving sandwiches and beverages. Public is welcome.

Kinder Haus BBQ Chicken Dinner Oct. 18
Swiss Village’s Kinder Haus Day Care will host a Drive-Thru Chicken Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 18 from 4–6 p.m. Tickets will be sold by pre-sale only. 
The Dinner will include Romers a half chicken, applesauce, potato chips, and dinner roll with butter. 
Tickets can be purchased for $7 at the Swiss Village Front Desk, The Arthur & Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion or Kinder Haus Day Care through Oct. 11. Dinners can be picked up at the Swiss Village circle drive entrance on Oct. 18 from 4–6 p.m.

Talent day at U of Saint Francis begins Oct. 19
Talent Day is an opportunity for new students interested in attending the University of Saint Francis to submit a portfolio or audition for scholarships.
This year the days will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 19,  1 to 5 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rolland At Center, 2701 Spring St., FW

The portfolios and auditions will be critiques by a School of Creative Arts faculty member. From this review,, outstanding students will be awarded talent scholarships to attend the University of Saint Francis. To reserve a time for a visit call 260-399-7700 ext. 8001.
