Fall Coloring Contest underway
The Bluffton Parks department is offering a fall coloring contest this month for children age 12 and under. Coloring pages have been sent to area schools or one can be printed fromm this link: http://www.ci.bluffton.in.us/documents/fallcolorcontest2013.pdf.
All pages need returned to the park office at 128 E Market Street by Sept. 30 for a chance to win a special prize. Pictures will be displayed in the city gym.

Fall Outdoor Soccer Registration going on now
Registration is open for children, ages four to third grade who are interested in fall outdoor soccer. Games will be played on Saturday afternoons Oct. 5 through Nov. 2 at the Bluffton Elementary Soccer Field.
Cost is $15 and includes a t-shirt and medal. Fill out a registration form from the Parks Dept. Office or download one fromhttp://www.ci.bluffton.in.us/documents/Fall2013SoccerRegistration.pdf.

Movie Saturday at Huntington’s Sheets Museum Sept. 14
On Saturday, Sept. 14, the Sheets Wildlife Museum and Learning Center in Huntington will offer a free movie. A tour of the museum will be available for $1, starting at 10 a.m. and lasting 40 minutes.
The movie will be about Alaska’s Coolest Animals. Attenders will learn about more that 50 different Alaskan animals.
Seating is limited and it is suggested to call 260-356-9453 to reserve a seat.

Saturday Night at the Village Sept. 14
Swiss Village in Berne will sponsor Saturday Night at the Village Sept. 14 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium.
Those attending will watch the movie Driving Miss Daisy. Snacks and sodas will be provided.

Plant Sale in Huntington Sept. 14
The Huntington County Master Gardener’s will sponsor a Fall Plant Sale at the Forks of the Wabash Historical Site at the intersection of State Hwy. 9 and State Road 224 at Huntington on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 8 to 11 a.m. 
Perennials, Native plants, bulbs, Mums and garden items will be offered for sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Scholarship program, Library Children’s Mother and Father’s Day projects, as well as the Forks of the Wabash Historical Site plantings, and the Salamonie State Park Gardens that are planted and cared for by the Huntington County Master Gardeners, as well as several Public Educational Forums during the year. 

Art & Craft Bazaar Sept. 21
Any artist who would like to sell their items can call the Bluffton Parks Department at 824-6069 to pre-register for a space at the Art and Craft Bazaar held Saturday, Sept. 21 in the City Gym. Spaces are limited. Rental space for art vendors is $10 due that day. Admission for shopping is FREE. Hours are noon to 7 p.m.

Harvest Hustle 5K Sept. 21
Registration now OPEN for the second annual Harvest Hustle 5K Run Saturday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. Cost is $15 and includes a t-shirt and a coupon for a pancake breakfast or funnel cake at the Bluffton Street Fair!

Fish and Tenderloin Dinner Sept. 25
Members of the Ossian United Methodist Church will sponsor an All-You-Can-Eat Dan’s Fish and Tenderloin Dinner Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Family Fellowship Center at 201 W. Mill Street in Ossian.
Cost is $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for those ages six through 12 and free for children age five and younger.

Free Senior Movie Sept. 26

The next free movie for seniors will be Thursday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Wells County Public Library. Free snacks, a 10 minute health info and prizes will be part of the program.  The Bluffton Parks and Recreational Department, Wells County Public Library and Bluffton Regional Senior Circle have partnered together to offer this free monthly movie for community seniors 50 years of age and older.
