Church senior
dinner rescheduled
New Hope Lutheran Church, south edge of Ossian, has rescheduled its quarterly senior citizens’ dinner for Feb. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall. This is for anyone in the community age 65 or better. There will be a sing-a-long with Ed Higgins and great entertainment by George Berger. A free will offering dinner will be served by the ladies of New Hope. Reservation deadline will be Tuesday, Feb. 8.

Lunch and Learn seminar Feb. 15
On Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 11:30 a.m. there will be a Lunch and Learn Educational Hearing Seminar hosted at the South Adams Senior Center. Patrick Paris, of Hearcare Audiology will be leading this seminar. There is no charge for this seminar. A free luncheon will be served to those attending following the seminar. Reserve a spot by calling 260-485-1231.

Alzheimer's
Awareness Week begins Feb. 17
Chalet Village Health Care Center will kick off Alzheimer’s Awareness Week at the South Adams Senior Center Thursday, Feb. 17 by presenting the Movie, “The Notebook” which portrays the story of a couple who are dealing with Alzheimer’s. The movie stars James Garner and Gena Rowlands. The movie will begin at 10 a.m.
Following the movie, those attending will be able to purchase a box lunch for $3. All proceeds will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
The public is invited to attend this free activity. Call the Senior Center at 589-8877 if you would like to order a lunch so we can give Chalet Village an approximate count.

Railroad Celebration Feb. 19 & 20
The Three Rivers Railroad Heritage Council, a not-for-profit organization, will host the third annual Railroad Celebration Saturday and Sunday, February 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the restored former Pennsylvania Railroad Baker Street Railroad Station at 221 West Baker Street, Fort Wayne.
The theme this year will be The Pennsylvania Railroad in the Tri-State Area. Displays will include hundreds of items covering all past and present activities of this world-famous railroad and its successors. There will also be three operating model railroad layouts.
This is a family-oriented, all-ages event. The public is welcome and invited to attend. Admission is $4 per person. Children under 12 are free. For more information, call 260-489-2392 or email cjberndt@yahoo.com.

Eagle Watch Feb. 18, 19 & 20
The Upper Wabash Interpretive Services annual Eagle Watch Feb. 18 and 19 is filling up quickly!
On Feb. 18 the evening is organized for those who are unable to invest the entire afternoon to eagle watching. Meet at Interpretive Center at 5 p.m. and travel by caravan to the roost site, with one stop on the way. Coffee will be available at the roost site for a free-will donation.
Feb. 19 and Feb. 20 meet at the Interpretive Center at 3 p.m. and caravan to several locations on the way to the roost site. A bowl of chili, coffee or hot chocolate will be available for a $3 donation.
