Murder Mystery for Valentine's Day

Bluffton Parks Department:

Picture yourself at a convention of romance writers, all contending for the Loveknot Book of the Year Award given by Heartthrob Books. Among the nominated authors are two spinster sisters, a young prodigy and her overbearing mother, a British aristocrat, a rude and obnoxious social climber and a rough and tough dude with his ditsy-arm candy girlfriend. Editor Benton Fish tries gamely to keep the award ceremonies civilized amid jealousies and rivalries. But when the winner is announced.. mayhem and murder erupts!

Enjoy an evening of fatally funny romance, mystery and intrigue when you attend "My Ruinous Romance" Mystery Dinner Theater hosted by the Bluffton Parks & Recreation Dept. The talented performers from the Bluffton HS Drama Club will leave you laughing and mystified as you enjoy this play. Once the performance is over you'll need to think back through the clues given throughout the show and solve the mystery of "who dunit"!

This would make a great Valentine's Day gift for that special someone! You can do a dinner and movie anytime, but only once in a while can you support two wonderful community groups, have a nice dinner and enjoy a great performance, without leaving town! Not that's a deal!

A STUDENT only show will be held on Thursday, February 24th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets ($3.00 per person) are available during lunch for Bluffton students on Friday Feb. 11 & 18th. They are also available at the city hall in the Clerk/Treasurer's office.

Then on Saturday, Feb. 26th we'll offer a dinner & show performance . Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the play at 7:00 p.m. The meal is a choice of baked steak or chicken, salad, corn, baked potato, roll, dessert and beverage. Tickets for this is $15.00 per person or 2 for $25.00. These tickets must be purchased by Thursday, Feb. 17th.

The final performance will be held on Sunday, Feb. 27th at 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 3:00 p.m.). This matinee show will include refreshments and cost $5.00 per person. These tickets are also available in the city hall building and are available until Feb. 25th.
