Basket Bingo to be held in April
The annual Bluffton Chapter of Psi Iota Xi basket bingo event has been moved from February to April 4, 2011. Mark your calendars and come join the fun in April! For more information call 824-9401.

Psi Iota Xi selling cheeseballs and flower cards
Members of Bluffton Chapter of Psi Iota Xi are selling cheeseballs and flower cards. Cheeseballs can be purchased for $6.50 and are a great addition to any Super Bowl party. To purchase cheeseballs please contact Jane Waters at 820-1447 or Julie Holte at 824-5031.
Flower cards may also be purchased for $25 and are good for twelve beautiful monthly bouquets from the Posy Pot.Flower cards make wonderful gifts for birthdays or Valentine's day. To purchase flower cards please contact Melinda Gilgen at 824-3833 or Jane Waters at 820-1447.

Council "Mud & Metal" Exhibit going on now
“Mud and Metal” is on exhibit now through Feb. 27 at the Creative Arts Council in Bluffton.
The artworks are by the Fort Wayne group “Bunch of Potters,” as well as local potters and mobile artist Steve Makowski, celebrate earthly beauty and traditional craftsmanship.
Makowski Mobiles are constructed primarily of recycled materials and are sculptures in motion with wisps of air currents. The artist’s 30 years experience fabricating replacement antique watch and clock parts goes into the construction of each mobile. Makowski art works hang in North Eastern Indiana, Chicago, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Admission is free.

Garage sale at Swiss Village Jan. 25
Swiss Village will sponsor a garage sale, Tuesday, Jan. 25 in Swiss Village’s auditorium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Craft items, Christmas decorations, fabric and upholstery, craft kits and more will all be available for purchase. Everything - even a sewing machine - will be sold at bargain prices! The proceeds from the sale will go towards funding Swiss Village’s activity department.

Photo Forum Jan. 27
The Creative Arts Council will sponor a Photo Forum Thursday, Jan. 27 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 211 W. Water Street, Bluffton. The event is free.
What did Vermeer know about portraiture when he painted the girl with the pearl earring? In today’s technical world, how can you set up a portrait photo to bring out characteristics and generate appeal?
Join Ben Jones of Sonshine Studio for an informal session about how to pose and compose photographs of people. Portraits will reveal more about the personality of the subject with just a few tips and pointers from a pro. Those attending may bring one of their photos and all their questions.
This meeting marks the anniversary of first year of the forum for photographers meeting at the arts center under the guidance of B K Campbell. Plans for monthly topics ahead are underway.
