Storytime sign-up begins at the Wells County Public Library

The Wells County Public Library will be offering winter and spring preschool storytimes at both the main library and Ossian branch. Sessions begin the first week of February and end in March or April, depending on the age of your child. Registration for all storytimes starts on Monday, January 17 at 9 am. Spaces for each class fill up fast, so make sure to register as soon as possible.


Preschool Programs (Main Library):

Wee Read
Birth to 24 months
Fridays at 9:15-10:00 am or 10:15-11:00 am
This Friday morning program is for the library’s smallest patrons. It encourages communication and personal contact between child and parent. A great way to meet other new parents. Pre-registration needed. Programs held from February 4-March 11.

Toddler Time
Ages 2 and 3
Wednesdays at 10:00-10:30 am or 10:45-11:15 am; Thursdays at 9:45-10:15 am
Toddlers, with an adult friend, can join in this program filled with stories, finger plays, and songs. Sessions meet every Wednesday or Thursday morning for 12 weeks. Pre-register to join. Programs held from February 2 or 3-April 27 or 28 (does not meet the fourth week in March).

PJ Storyhour
Ages 3 to 6
Stories, videos, finger plays, and crafts related to a specific theme make learning fun. Held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. Pre-register to join.

Storyhour
Ages 4 to 6
Wednesday at 1:00-2:00 pm or Thursdays at 10:30-11:30 am
Just like PJ Storyhour, but held every week on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. These sessions fill up fast, so pre-register early. Programs held February 2 or 3-April 27 or 28 (does not meet the fourth week in March).
