Friends of Animal Shelter meeting June 15
Friends of the Animal Shelter will meet Tuesday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m. in Bluffton City Hall conference room.

Open auditions June 26 for opera The Twelve
Open auditions for the original musical opera The Twelve, by Joseph Gudel and Dave Frincke of Fort Wayne will be held Saturday, June 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran High School Auditorium at 1601 St. Joe River Drive, Fort Wayne.
The show will cast at least 26 performers: 18 men and eight or more women. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. Those auditioning shoud bring a piece of music 32 bars or longer to showcase their voice. A pianist will be provided if needed.
The Twelve is a new musical opera combining the mystery of Jesus Christ Superstar with the drama and realism of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Told entirely fromt he perspective of the 12 Apostles, The Twelve shows the story and person of Jesus through the eyes of his closest followers, while remaining Biblically accurate throughout. The premiere is Aug. 28 and 29 at Concordia. For more information call 260-479-8377.

Maumee Valley Steam and Gas Association Quilt Show Aug. 19-22
The Maumee Valley Steam and Gas Association will sponsor their annual quilt show Aug. 19-22 at Jefferson Twp. Park in New Haven. Registration will be Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 18 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the showground.
Display of quilts will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
