CAC offers ‘Great American Artists’

Calling all young artists 8 years of age and older to enroll in the Creative Arts Council’s Summer Arts Academy offering of “Great American Artists.”
This week-long camp to be held June 14-18, from 10:30 am. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Instructors will be Katie Vanderkolk and Vickie Hunteman.
Students will discover styles and techniques used by artists—Ansel Adams (photographer), Andy Warhol, Georgia O’Keeffe and Mark Rothko. Several 2-D and 3-D projects will be created during the week and be put on display the last day for all of the artists to show off their creative works of art. The students also will collaborate on a group project to decorate a Street Fair bench that will become a part of an outdoor showcase later this summer.
