4-H Foundation annual Bake Sale

Organizers are reminding people that “it’ll soon be time for the annual 4-H Fair and our Bake Sale.
The vent is seeking baked donations of all kinds: pies, cookies, cupcakes, candy and breads. The date is Saturday, July 17, and the sale will begin promptly at 5 p.m. outside the main 4-H building, continuing until 8 p.m.
“If you are willing to donate your time in preparing something, we will sell that during the fair and use the money for projects supported by the 4-H Foundation,” Martha Paxson says.
Each year the Foundation provides scholarships to Wells County high school seniors as well as financial support and educational materials for various 4-H groups. The money raised stays in this county, Paxson says, and is used for local young people.
The organizers issued these guidelines.
• Put your name on each bagged or wrapped item(s) that you bring.
• No baked goods that must be refrigerated!! We never know what Mother Nature will throw at us in the way of weather, and this sale will be held outside. We suggest that you prepare items that stand up well in hot, humid weather – just in case!
• If dropping off your baked goods early, please leave them in the 4-H building kitchen after 2 p.m. You may put a price on them if you wish or leave that for us to do.
Please call Martha Paxson at 260-413-7391 if you have any questions about this event.
