Scholarships
auctioned at YFC March 6
Youth For Christ is holding their annual YFC Auction on Saturday, March 6, at their office in Bluffton. Among the many items in this auction are scholarships to Bluffton University, Huntington University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Taylor University, and Bethel College. These scholarships will be auctioned to the highest bidders.

VWHS Renaissance Talent Show March 6
Beat the Winter Blues and enjoy a great show! The Van Wert High School Renaissance program will present their annual Talent Show Saturday, March 6 at 7:30 pm at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio in Van Wert.
The Renaissance Talent Show showcases the talents of Van Wert High School students who have auditioned and been selected to perform. A free will offering will be taken with proceeds to benefit the Renaissance program in the High School. For more information call the Van Wert High School at 419-238-3350.

Hunter's Education Course begins
March 8
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will sponsor a Hunter Education Course will be offered at no charge March 8, 10 and 11 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the 4-H Expo Hall at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton.
Instructors will be ICO Kenny Wireman, Darrell Reynolds, Mike and Jodi Pinkerton, Rich Falk, Rick Bergman, Tracy Myers and Brad VanCamp.
Those under age 16 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Attendance for all classes is requried for certification. For more information call 260-824-0692.

Angel Food Orders for March
Can be placed at Sonlight Wesleyan Church between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or order online at www.angelfoodministries.com.

Slow down dinner
by CAC’s food group March 11
The Not Your Basic Food Group, sponsored by the Creative Arts Council, will sponsor a “Slow Down Dinner” featuring meals done in a crockpot on Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m.
Participants are invited to bring a crockpot and its contents along with your guests to enjoy a dinner with drinks and a small salad provided. A member of the group will need to provide table service (plates and flatware). A copy of the crockpot recipe should be brought for sharing.
Representatives of Bluffton’s Farmers’ Market will be on hand to provide information about dates, times and the wide array of produce and items to be sold in 2010.
Each group will have a table and linens provided. Admission is $3 per guest to provide for hosting costs. Reservations to (260) 824-5222.

Irish Sundae
March 14
Members of Dillman United Brethren Church will sponsor an Irish Sundae event Sunday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The meal will feature baked potatoes with a selection of 10 toppings, baked sweet potatoes, sandwiches, homemade pies and other desserts and drinks.
A free-will offering will be accepted. All proceeds will go to local, national and international missions that the church supports.
The church is located three miles west of State Road 3 in Wells County or four miles east of the Van Buren Cemetery. For more information call 260-375-2779.

MOPS fundraiser at Brew Ha March 14
Bluffton Nazarene MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers) group will host a Sampler Hour fundraiser on March 14 at the Brew Ha in Ossian.
Come sample wraps, paninis, salads, quesadillas, cookies, cheesecake and select pastries. Plus, you can try sample sizes of popular hot and cold drinks... or make up your own flavor mixture. Besides being FUN, Sampler Hours are for a good cause! Tickets are $12 and the times available are 3-4 p.m., 4-5 p.m., and 5-6 p.m. To purchase tickets, please contact Julie Meredith 824-4760.

Spring College Fair March 17
Homestead High School will sponsor a Spring College Fair Wednesday, March 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 4310 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne. All area high school students and/or their parents are welcome to attend the event. Over 70 four-year, two-year, vocational, junior and technical colleges and universities located throughout the U.S. are scheduled to attend, as well as all areas of the Armed Forces.
Admission is free.
