SW Athletic Booster Basket Bingo
March 6
The Southern Wells Athletic Booster will sponsor a Basket Bingo Saturday, March 6 at 10 a.m. in the Southern Wells cafeteria. The event is open to the public.
Cost is $20 for 20 cards and $5 for an extra book Two baskets will be raffled. Tickets are $1 a piece or $5 for 7 tickets. Please contact Julie Thompson for presale ticket or questions @ 260-273-5040.

Pancake and Whole Hog Sausage Brunch March 6
Preble Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor an all-you-can-eat Pancake and Whole Sausage Brunch Saturday, March 6 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Preble Fireman's Park Pavilion in Preble, four miles west of Decatur on U.S. Hwy. 224. A free will donation will be accepted. All proceeds go toward a truck loan. Bulk sausage will be sold.

Poetry contest deadline March 7
A $1,000 grand prize is being offered to the last poet standing in a contest sponsored by the Christian Poets Guild.
Poems of 21 lines or fewer on any subject and in any style will be judged by the guild contest director Dr. Jack Carroll.
The contest is free to enter and open to poets of any age. Fifty prizes totaling more than $5,000 will be awarded.
Entries must be received by March 7 and submitted by mail to: 7308 Heritage Dr., Mt. Vernon, IN 46720 or www.freecontest.com.
Those sending entries should include their name and address on the same page as the poem. A winners list will be sent to all entrants.
