The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course will be offered at Norwell Middle School Pool from 4 to 9 p.m. April 3, April 17, April 24 and May 1 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
Course will be given at Norwell Middle School Pool, 1100 E U.S. 224, Ossian, IN 46777.
The cost is $140 and includes books, course materials and instructor fees. Certification cards will be given upon successful completion of written and skills testing.
The class is open to any interested candidate at least 15 years old. Swimming skills pretest will be conducted at the beginning of the first class. Students must perform a 300-yard swim using breaststroke, sidestroke & front crawl.
Students should bring swimsuit, towel, pen or pencil, paper, highlighter, snack and a drink. Pop and snack machines are available.
Pre-registration is required by April 1. Payment is due at or before the first class.
