Smart Moves to meet every Wednesday
Smart Moves will meet every Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. from March 4 through April 22, 2009 at the Boys and Girls Club in Bluffton. Smart Moves is for those ages 13 to 18. For more information call 824-5070.

Smart Girls will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. every Wednesday from March 4 through April 22 at the Boys and Girls Club in Bluffton. Smart Girls is for those ages eight through 12. For more information call 824-5070.

Ossian Elementary PTO Carnival March 6
The Ossian Elementary PTO Carnival will be held Friday, March 6 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. There will be fun, food, games and bingo.

Mt. Calvary Fish & Chicken Strips Dinner March 7
Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr., off Bluffton Rd. in Waynedale is hosting a Fish & Chicken Strips Dinner prepared by Country Chef on Saturday, March 7, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. This “plated dinner” includes a generous serving of fish and/or chicken strips, potato wedges, applesauce or coleslaw, rolls, drinks, and a variety of desserts. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for children 6 to 11, and free for children 5 and under. Carryout dinners also available at $8.50 each. Tickets are available at the church office, 747-4121 x0, and also at the door.

Watercolor Painting Workshop begins March 7
A Watercolor Painting Workshop will be held March 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Creative Arts Center of Wells County. Cost is $85 per person.
Mark Polomchak is back and taking enrollments for his newest watercolor class! Polomchak is a 1975 graduate in Fine Art at Indiana University.
His heartwarming instruction style is achieved through the simplicity and grace of his paintings of images from the serene lifestyle of the Amish. His subject matter also includes contemporary florals, abstracts, and wildlife. Call for enrollment. Price includes supplies.

Pancake and Whole Hog Sausage Brunch March 7
The Preble Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor an all-you-can-eat Pancake and Whole Hog Sausage Brunch Saturday, March 7 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Preble Fireman's Park Pavilion, located four miles west of Decatur on U.S. 224.
A free will donation will be taken. All proceeds will go directly to the truck loan. Bulk sausage will also be sold. For more information call 260-223-0410 or 260-547-4260.

Parks Department Sign-ups March 7
T-Ball, Baseball, Softball, Spring Gymnastics, Pee Wee Soccer and Swim Team sign up will be at the City Hall building on March 7th from 9-11am. Call the Bluffton Parks Department for more information at 824-6069.

Pancake and sausage fundraiser March 7
Little Lights Childcare Ministry will sponor a Pancake and Sausage fundraiser Saturday, March 7 from 8 to 11 a.m. at 1225 W. Washington St., Bluffton.
Dine-in, carry-out, or delivery will be available. Cost is $3 per plate.

Outlaws 4-H Club Tack and Misc. Auction and Hog Roast March 7
The Outlaws 4-H Club will sponsor a Tack and Misc. Auction and Hog Roast in conjunction with Running W Tack on Saturday March 7th. Auction starts at 6 p.m. Preview auction items and food serving will be at 5 p.m. All proceeds go to the Outlaws 4-H club.
The auction will be held at Van Wert County Fairgrounds in the Jr. Fair Building. All types of horse items will be up for auction including: Halters, Leads, Saddles, Brushes, Hoof Picks, Buckets, Pads…. Home Furnishings, Trinkets, and much much more. Something for everyone, not just horse lovers. All types of animal equipment.
The food serving will include roast pork and sandwiches, hot dogs, sloppy joe, chips, and much more.

Bake Sale March 8
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Friedheim is having a Soup and Sandwich Dinner with a Craft and Bake Sale on Sunday, March 8, at the Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School, 11565 US Highway 27 North, Decatur.
Menu includes homemade soups and sandwiches, as well as salads and desserts. Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until 1 p.m. Drive-thru and carryout will also be available.
