Farmer’s Market Wednesdays and Saturdays
The Farmer’s Market is now open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Current features include: garden and bedding plants, fresh cut asparagus, fresh baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, woodworking products, candles, and more. WCT’s quilt fundraiser
A quilted wall hanging, created by Susan Schultz, is being used as a fund raiser for the Wells Community Theatre.
Schultz is the costumer for the musical “South Pacific” now in rehearsal to be presented the weekend of June 13-15 at the Life Center auditorium in Bluffton.
Tickets to become the new owner of the quilt are $5 each and are available at the CAC office or from any “South Pacific” cast member.
Wet Wacky Wednesday June 4
Wet Wacky Wednesdays begin June 4th! The pool will be open for evening family swim every Wednesday during the pool season. Pool hours are 6:30-8 p.m. and cost is $1.50 per person over age five.
All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Dates are: June 4, 11, 18, 25 July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Aug. 6.
Chick’s Run set for Thursday
Chick’s Run will be held Thursday, June 5 at 7 p.m. This is a “Just For Women”, “Just For Fun” 5K Run/Walk on the River Greenway. Awards are not given for mile time, but will be given for craziest running outfit, best t-shirt slogan, diva runner, largest team, go go cheerleader and more! Cost is $5 or $15 with a t-shirt.
