Crop nights at Science Central July 10
Science Central will host crop and craft nights beginning Friday, July 10. Participants are asked to bring their own supplies and will be given four feet of table space to create their masterpieces. Snacks and drinks will be provided. There will also be a swap table.
Crop nights will take place on the second Friday of each month until Jan. 8, 2010. The event is for adults age 18 and older. Cost is $8 per session. For more information call 260-424-2400.

Three Rivers Festival

Fort Wayne will go into a festival mode from July 11-19, as the 41st Three Rivers Festival will get under way on Saturday, July 11, with the traditional parade to begin at 10 a.m. through the downtown.
A few events will be held on Friday, July 10, with entertainment at the 3RF event pavilion in Headwaters Park, beginning at 6 p.m. A complete listing of events will be available at the Information Booth located on the west end of the Food Alley in Headwaters Park or by checking out www.trifonline,org
Festival buttons, priced at $2.50, will allow festival attenders to attend concerts for $3 less per concert and be given other discounts to “admission charged” events. In advance the buttons will be available at ProFed Credit Union (including branch here), Lassus locations, National City (FW branches) and the Three Rivers Festival office.
Hours for the Food Alley located in Headwaters Park East will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily during the entire festival. Also in Headwaters Park East will be the Meijer Fest Unlimited with carnival rides and concerts from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. The deadline for team enrollment for the annual Youth for Christ Golf Classic fundraiser is drawing near. All teams, hole and cart sponsorships must be turned into the YFC office by Thursday July 9. The 2009 tournament will be held on July 14 at the Golf Club of the Limberlost in Geneva, Indiana.
The tournament features an 18 hole round Scramble on a closed course with lunch, awards and prizes. There will also a featured speaker, national YFC Board member and local State Senator Travis Holdman, along with an update on the Adams, Blackford, Grant, Jay, and Wells YFC ministry. This event will begin with a shotgun start at 8 am and at 1 pm (if second flight is needed) with lunch in-between at noon.

Bully Awareness Day July 10
The Wells Community Boys and Girls Club will be in the downtown area celebrating their first year anniversary of the Bully Free Program which was proclaimed from the Mayor in 2008. The kids will be handing out items that they made that show their anti bully free awareness support. Since the program has started the club has completed three programs and 40 kids have completed the program including the one that is in process now. There will be free lemonade in front of Parlor City Trophy and Apparel. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt to show support call 824-0216.

Bully Awareness Day July 10
The Wells Community Boys and Girls Club will be in the downtown area celebrating their first year anniversary of the Bully Free Program which was proclaimed from the Mayor in 2008. The kids will be handing out items that they made that show their anti bully free awareness support. Since the program has started the club has completed three programs and 40 kids have completed the program including the one that is in process now. There will be free lemonade in front of Parlor City Trophy and Apparel. Anyone interested in purchasing a shirt to show support call 824-0216.

The Edelweiss Singers, directed by Don Gerig and Kathleen Henkel accompanist, will perform at the South Adams Senior Center on Thursday evening, July 9, at 7 p.m. They have performed around the area for many years and sing a variety of music. There is no admission charge for this concert, but donations are accepted for the senior center expenses.
The South Adams Senior Center is located at 825 Hendricks St., Berne, IN. Everyone of any age, or residential location is invited to come and enjoy an evening of wonderful music.
