What's Up

St. Joseph
Parish Mission March 20-24
St. Joseph Parish Mission will be held March 20-24 in Bluffton from 7 to 8 p.m. each evening. The theme is “Molded in the image of Jesus Christ.” Each evening will deal with a different topic.
Sunday, March 20: We are a community of God's people.
Monday, March 21: We are a praying people.
Tuesday, March 22: We are a forgiven and forgiving people. There will be a reconciliation service.
Wednesday, March 23: We are a caring people.
Thursday, March 24: We are a Eucharistic people. This will be followed by a closing mass.
Light refreshments will be served after each session. There will be special children's sessions Sunday through Wednesday for those in grades kindergarten through fourth grade.
Transportation and childcare will be available. For more information call Michelle at 824-1380.

Red Cross Blood Drive March 23
A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Wednesday, March 23 at Apostolic Christian Church on East Dustman Road, Bluffton from noon to 5 p.m.

CAC Pizza for lunch March 24
Those who appreciate the written word are welcome to sign up now for home baked pizza at the home of Larry and Carol Studabaker on Thursday, March 24.
Crusts, sauce, oven: every detail handled with care by a “pro.” Learn the method and sample the product with a green salad. Reservations at $5 each are required as seating is limited. Those who also have favorite pizza recipes and methodologies are welcome to share their tips as well!

Senior Exploration Spring 2011 Signups
The Bluffton Parks Department has partnered with the First United Methodist Church to offer a six-week program designed for adults who are interested in continued learning.
Senior Exploration will be every Monday starting April 4 through May 9. There is a one-time fee of $12 that will cover all classes due April 1 with the registration form that will be in Friday, March 4 News-Banner.
Classes offered this session are Games Galore, Genealogy, Plastic Canvas, It’s A Small World (stories from the Bluffton High School exchange students), Scrapbooking, Crochet, Rock Painting, 3:16 The Numbers of Hope study by Max Lucado, Birds, Bugs & Blooms, Computers 101, “The Taming of the Shrew” book club, and Craft Club.

Spring Fling Family Dance April 10
The Spring Fling Family Dance will be held Sunday, April 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wells County 4-H Community Center.
Tickets are $10 (family up to four) and $3 each additional child. Bring the whole family out for an old fashioned hoedown!
Enjoy an evening of music, refreshments, door prizes, and treat bags for the kids. Don’t forget to bring your own camera to capture all the smiling faces.
