Festival of Trees Opening night Dec. 3
The opening night of the 2010 Festival of Trees will be held Friday, Dec. 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Arts and Commerce and Visitors Centre at 211 Water Street, Bluffton.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for those under age 10. Tickets reserved by Nov. 30 are $12.50 for adults and $6 for children.
During opening night there will be hors d'oeuvres, sweet treats, drinks and harp and piano music by The Roseberrys.
Weekend hours and prices are as follows: Saturday, Dec. 4: 1 to 5 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 5, noon to 5 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children to age 12. Treats and music will be included in the ticket price. For more information call 824-5222.

Markle House Walk Dec. 4
Markle's Christmas in Our Town House Walk will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. Houses on the walk include Dan and Sharon Sparks at 520 E. Morse St. and Marilyn Lahr at 290 Wilt Street. Maps are available at area businesses. A free will donation will be taken for the Christmas decoration fund for Markle.

Order raspberry pies for the holidays
Sigma Phi Gamma is once again making black raspberry pies for the holidays. Sigma Phi Gamma supports A Friend’s House as well as other local charities and presents a Senior Girl Award to the Bluffton High School Senior Girl who has overcome the most obstacles in her high school career. Christmas auction Dec. 4
The Montpelier Lions Club will sponsor a Christmas Auction Saturday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at High and Jefferson Streets. There will be tools, toys, gifts and more. The kitchen will be open.
Dale Higdon benefit concert and auction Dec. 4
A benefit concert and auction will be held for Dale Higdon Saturday, Dec. 4 beginning at 3 p.m. at The Cowboy at 121 N. Main Street, Bluffton.
There will be a hog roast, auction, band and bake sale.
Proceeds will help send Dale to Texas for treatments for colon cancer.
