Badminton played at City Gym
Adult Badminton is held at the Bluffton City Gym on Thursdays nights from 7 to 9 p.m. from now until Dec. 9. Cost is a onetime fee of $5 per person. Enjoy a cardio workout while having fun. Call 824-6069.

Psi Iota Xi selling flower cards
Members of Bluffton chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority are selling flower cards for $25 each. They are good for 12 monthly bouquets from Posy Pot. To purchase cards call any member or 824-3833 or 8200-1447.

Science Central closed Nov. 12

Faraway Places musical Nov. 13
The New Builders of Calvary United Methodist Church on Airport Expressway at Winchester Road, will present a dinner and musical variety show at the church Saturday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under age 13. The event will feature around the world musical classics. Deadline for reservations is Nov. 8. There will be no door ticket sales. Call 260-485-0799 or 260-747-9218. Those with reservations need to be at the church by 6:10 p.m. on show night.

Free Mark's Ark event Nov. 13
Bluffton Parks Department invites the public to see Mark’s Ark Saturday, Nov. 13 in the City Gym from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families will get a hands-on experience with a variety of animals and learn some fun facts. This is a free event. Call 824-6069.

Hunter's Brunch Nov. 13 at Salamonie
The Upper Wabash Interpretive Services will sponsor a Hunter's Brunch Saturday, Nov. 13 at Salamonie Reservoir between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Enjoy pancakes, sausage and coffee and sit an talk with friends and other hunters. Donations will be accepted. To register call 260-468-2127.

St. Jude’s fundraiser Nov. 18
St. Jude’s fundraiser will be held at the Ossian Tavern Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. Cost is $15. Eight beers to sample, snacks, and auction items available.

College scholarship deadline Nov. 15
Gamma Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi of Ossian is announcing a $500 college scholarship. To be eligible for this award, the applicants must be a Wells County resident, a junior or senior in college, currently enrolled in a course of study this fall at an accredited college or university. Special consideration will be given to those students majoring in art, literature, music, or speech and hearing. Coping with the Holidays meeting Nov. 16
Bereavement Education Series entitled “Coping with the Holidays” will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne.
This free program will offer conversation on how to survive special days.

South Adams Senior Lunch Nov. 17
The South Adams Senior Center Luncheon will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 at noon. There is a charge of $5 per person at the door.
The menu will include: turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, roll and butter, pumpkin pie with whipped topping, lemonade or coffe. November birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Door prizes will be given away to those at the event.

Deadline Nov. 18
for Homemakers Luncheon
The Wells County Extension Homemaker's Holiday Luncheon will be held Thursday, Dec. 2 at the Wells County 4-H Community Center. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. The program and lunch will start at 11 a.m.
Poplar Grove Club has arranged the program and decorations. The U.Y.B. Club will cook the dinner. The menu will include: bacon-wrapped chicken breast, hash brown casserole, honey-glazed carrots, lettuce salad, dinner roll, gelatin cakes and drinks.

Turkey Shoot Free Throw contest
Nov. 20
A Turkey Shoot Free Throw Contest will be held in the City Gym Saturday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. Children ages eight to 13 can enter to win a Thanksgiving turkey for the best free throw score. Cost is $1 per child and you must call 824-6069 to register by Nov 17.

Flea Market, Craft Show and Bake Sale Nov. 20
A Flea Market, Craft Show and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Lions Club in Montpelier. The kitchen will be open. The club is located at Jefferson and High Streets. For more information call 765-728-2575 or 765-728-2104
