Auditions set for WCT’s Junior production Aug. 28 & 29
Auditions for the Wells Community Theatre production of “Into the Woods Junior” will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Arts Commerce & Visitors Centre.
Gavin Drew will direct while Marlyn Koons will serve as advisor.
On Friday, Aug. 28, they will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call backs will be held on Sunday, Aug. 30, from 2 to 5 p.m.
This is a junior production, so children ages 6 to 18 will be permitted to audition. Those planning to audition should prepare a 30 bar audition song. An accompanist will be provided.

Squirt Gun Fight & Slip and Slide Aug. 29
Due to the muddy conditions and cold temperatures the The Squirt Gun Fight and Slip and Slide has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29 at Lancaster Park (across from Lancaster Elementary School). 
Check in at 12:30 p.m. The event will start at 1:30 p.m. The Slip and Slide will be open at 2 p.m.

Liberty Center Golf Outing 
Aug. 29
The Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor the annual Golf Outing Saturday, Aug. 29 at Etna Acres. Tee off will be at 8 a.m. Cost is $240 per team or $60 per person. Lunch will be served.

NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Aug. 29
The Bluffton Parks Department and Bluffton High School Football will host the annual NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick Competition on Saturday, Aug. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Bluffton Football Stadium. 
The program is a national skills competition for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 to compete separately against their peers. 
Girls and boys in five separate age divisions (6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, and 14-15) compete against each other in punting, passing and place kicking in a fun and engaging forum. 
Winners advance to the Sectional Competition in Mishawaka. The program is free!  
Last year two Bluffton winners advanced to the state competition at a Colts game in Indianapolis!

Get Hooked on Scouting Aug. 30
Members of Cub Scout Pack 3314 will sponsor Get Hooked on Scouting Sunday, Aug. 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. at 15904 Feighner Road in Roanoke.
The meet and greet event will include fishing, games, hot dogs and side dishes. During the event those interested (grades 1-5) in joining Cub Scouts may do so. Those attending are asked to bring their own fishing equipment.

Bluffton Bible College begins Sept. 8
Bluffton Bible College, 3550S., State Road 1, Bluffton, will start classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8.
