Community Plant Swap May 4

Herbs’ Friends Herb Club will host the 16th annual Community Plant Swap Saturday, May 4 from 7 to 11 a.m. at Riverside Center at 231 E. Monroe Street in Decatur.

The event is open to the public as a way to sell or swap excess plants or to buy new planitngs and cuttings. The event is held outdoors. Doors will open at 6 a.m. for participants to set up their display of plants. The sale will begin at 7 a.m. covered tables will be provided. There is a $10 fee per table to participate.

Women’s Dessert Bar May 4

The First Baptist Church in Montpelier will sponsor a Women’s Dessert Bar Saturday, May 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. All women are welcome to attend the event. Childcare will be provided at no cost.

A Shonda Pierce video will be the entertainment.

Markle Townwide Garage Sales May 18

The annual townwide Markle Community Garage Sale will be held Saturday, May 18.

This event is open to all interested Markle residents. Registration forms can be picked up at Tender Gardens, Markle Library, Crossroads Pantry and Markle Town Hall.

Forms need to be returned to Teresa Beck at Tender Gardens Flower Shop at 134 E. Morse Street or emailed to: tendergardens2118@gmail.com no later than Wednesday, May 8 by 5 p.m.

A list of registered garage sales and maps will be available beginning Tuesday, May 4 at local businesses.
