Read-a-Thon at BHS

The Book Review Club (54 members) at Bluffton High School is having a a Read-a-Thon lock-in Friday, February 12, in the school library! Members are requesting sponsors to donate money for each hour the student reads. We'll begin at 6 P.M. and read until 8 A.M. Saturday morning. Of course our readers will take breaks and perhaps even a nap but there is the potential for a member to read 8-10 hours. Sponsors can pledge an amount for each hour of reading or may choose to make a donation of a set amount. All monies collected will be used to buy books for the school library. We've chosen not to "sell" anything as a fund-raiser so this is our one-and-only funding project other than working a ball game.

Our members are excited about this chance to raise money for new books and also share a fun evening together reading. If you would like to sponsor a reader but have not been approached directly, you can still contribute by calling the high school at 824-3724 and asking for the library. We'll be happy to include your pledge in our total support. Thank you.
