Farmer’s Market Wednesdays and Saturdays
The Farmer’s Market is now open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Current features include: garden and bedding plants, fresh cut asparagus, fresh baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, woodworking products, candles, and more. David Dreiband Kickball benefit May 31
A kickball benefit will be held for David Dreiband, who recently suffered a stroke,  at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton.
David is 47 years old.  He has been in the hospital since March 5th.  He is just now beginning to move his right arm and leg and getting his speech back.  He could be in the hospital for several months for rehab. 
Team and individual registrations begin at 10 a.m.  Activities include the kickball tournament, a silent auction, raffles, cake walk, children activities and food vendor. Visit www.facebook.com/kickballfordave for more information.  

Home Canning, Drying and Freezing class June 23
The Parks and Recreation Department and instructor Molly Hoag will offer a canning, drying, and freezing class on Monday, June 23 from 6-8 p.m. on the second floor of city hall. Cost is $3 per person and participants must register by calling 824-6069 or e-mailing the park office at parks@ci.bluffton.in.us by June 13.
Home canning of vegetables and fruits, along with drying culinary herbs and freezing produce are all excellent ways of assuring that families reap the rewards of their home grown or farmer’s market produce throughout the year.

Soggy Jog June 28
Registration is open for the Soggy Jog Kids 1 Mile Mud Run set for Saturday, June 28 at 8:30 a.m. This is a one mile obstacle course mud run for kids ages 7 to 14. Cost is $10 and includes a t-shirt.
