Master Gardener’s Spring Plant Sale May 16 & 17
The Wells County Master Gardener’s Spring Plant Sale will be held Friday, May 16 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Wells County 4-H Fairgrounds in Bluffton.
A selection of annuals and perennials from members’ gardens will be available, including hostas donated by Donna Binkley from the collection of the late Dr. Vic Binkley. Proceeds will go twoard several ongoing projects in Wells County.
Bring old pots to be recycled or drop them off at the old Meyer’s Gunshop located at 0408 N. Oak St. Ext. in Bluffton.

Outdoorsman’s swap meet May 17
The fourth annual outdoorsman’s swap meet and garage sale will be held at the Ossian Conservation Club, 9950N-100E, Ossian, May 17 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
Sale items include old and new fishing tackle, archery equipment, fire arms, ammo, knives, antiques, miscellaneous. Food, drinks, Amish deep fried pies, and homemade ice cream will be available. A silent auction for a Sid King wood carving will also be offered.
All vendors are welcome. Spaces are $10 on a first come basis. 
Vendor setup is Friday, May 16, after 6 p.m. and/or event day.

Women’s Self Defense Class May 17
A free Women’s Self Defense Class will be held for ladies age 13 years and older in the Bluffton city gym on Saturday, May 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. 
In this session ladies will learn pressure point techniques that do not require much strength. Each participant will also receive a free self defense stick that can attach to your key ring.

Bike Bluffton 
May 18
On Sunday, May 18 at 2 p.m. the Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor Bike Bluffton. It is a 20 mile bike tour around the Bluffton area and its parks. 
This is a “ride at your own pace” event. Those attending are allowed to peddle fast or slow as they want. Cost is $5 per person. An event t-shirt is  $10. 
Rest stops and refreshments on the route. Helmets required.
