Homemade Card Class May 22
The Parks Department will offer a Homemade Card Class on Thursday May 22 at 6 p.m. This month those participating will be making congratulations cards.  There is a choice of sentiments for the cards! Cost for four cards is $7, each additional is  $1. To register call 824-6069.

Healing Ministries Revival May 23-25
The Click Family from Clarksburg, W. Va., will perform during the Healing Ministries Revival May 23-25 at 5012S-500E, Markle. The revival will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 10 a.m. on Sunday. For more information call 260-224-3376. (Pd. Advt.)

Dunkirk Glass Days May 28-31 
The 48th Annual Dunkirk Glass Days Festival will be held this year in downtown Dunkirk from May 28 to May 31. Each year Dunkirk hosts its Glass Days Festival to celebrate and remember the town’s heritage.
Activities include but are not limited to:
Wednesday May 28, senior citizen events start at 11 a.m. and the hog roast at Dunkirk American Legion will run from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
On Thursday the talent  how starts at 5 p.m. and The Bulldogs perform at 8 p.m.
On Friday the Glass Factory tours will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The cutest baby contest starts at 5 p.m. The Lil Miss and Mister Glass contest starts at 6 p.m. and The Remedy performs at 8 p.m. On Saturday the 4th annual 5K run/walk starts at 8 a.m. The parade starts at noon with a cornhole contest following at 3 p.m. Cook and Belle will perform at 7:30 p.m.

Farmer’s Market Wednesdays, Saturdays
The Farmer’s Market is now open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. 
Current features include: garden and bedding plants, fresh cut asparagus, fresh baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, woodworking products, candles, and more. (Pd. Advt.)

Jack Imel to speak May 29
Jack Imel from the Lawrence Welk Show will speak at Swiss Village Retirement Community in Berne at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29. 
Imel is a dancer, musician, comedian, and producer, best known for his tenure on the Lawrence Welk Show from 1957-1982. 
He will be talk in the auditorium about his years with Lawrence Welk as a Tap-Dancing Marimba Player. A book signing will conclude the presentation. Books will be available to purchase for $20.
