Creative Arts Council Events

HOURS—Weekdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and by arrangement with the CAC office.

IN THE BALENTINE GALLERY
CURRENT EXHIBIT—Now until April 8: the paintings of Dorothy Fryback in the exhibit “Birds, Butterflies and Beasts.”
* Also now until April 8: “Soft Strokes” Painted Porcelain by Nedra Steury in the conference room.
* April 17- May 17 Tri Kappa High School art Awards Exhibit.
* Also look for Youth Art Exhibit downstairs in the Ouabache Room sponsored by Hiday Motors
* Area Student Artists Reception Sunday, April 17 from 1 to 3 p.m.
* Call for entries: portraits for exhibit July 1-15, various media,( no photos).

SCHOOL OF BALLET
Saturday rehearsals as called by instructors in addition to weekly lessons.
Mark calendar for “Alice’s Dream” performance on Sunday, May 15, 3:30 p.m., Bluffton High School.
Lyrical Dance with Amanda Berhalter for ages 12-21, now in session.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
TODDLER MUSIC SAMPLER—now in session with Cindy Lemmen, 10 to 10:45 a.m.
FORT WAYNE OUTING–Thursday, April 14, Food lovers unite for a taste tour of Naked Tchopstix in Fort Wayne. The outing requires $3 registration at CAC and spending money for lunch and incidentals.
BOOK GROUP–Tuesday, April 5 finds a combined community book group gathering with Bayview and Foltz Clubs here! Connie Hauser to present “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter.” Guests welcome.

EVENTS
Annual Fundraiser Auction Dinner–Friday, April 8. Bid on works of art, services, products, meals and dining, fine amenities and more, including private cooking lessons with T.W. Fable’s executive chef.
OPEN MIC–Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. Open Mic Poetry Reading aka Word Art in the Balentine Gallery. FREE. Poets and audience needed.
