Haiti Benefit Sale Oct. 23 & 24
Kingdom Academy will sponsor “Inspiring Hope in Haiti” Benefit Sale Friday, Oct. 23 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 225 Ferguson Park Ct. in Bluffton (half mile east of Bluffton on State Road 124.)

Craft Show Fundraiser Oct. 24
A Craft Show Fundraiser will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton.
Lunch will be available. Proceeds will go to the Log Cabin Restoration. 

Sonlight Trunk or Treat Oct. 24
Sonlight Wesleyan Church will sponsor a Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. There will be inflatables, games, food and candy. Costumes welcome. Call 260-479-7233. 

Radio Contest Oct. 24 & 25
Members of the Wells County Amateur Radio Club will be involved in a worldwide DX competition from the Wells County 4-H Park. It will begin Saturday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. and continue through 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25 at the food pavilion.
The purpose of the test is to establish voice contact with as many foreign amateur stations as possible during this period. Contact with U.S. stations is also permitted. Many local “ham” operators are expected to participate in the event.

Craft Bazaar Oct. 24 in Fort Wayne 
Craft vendors are needed for the Allen County 4-H Fairgrounds third Annual Craft Bazaar on Saturday Oct. 24 at the Allen County 4-H Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Cost for an 8 foot booth space, with table, will be $35.  For more information or booth rental contact Chad at 260-704-0765.

USF ‘s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ Nov. 6-15
As part of the University of Saint Francis celebration of its 125th anniversary the School of Creative Arts will present the rock musical “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
There sill be 8 p.m. performances on Nov. 6, 7, 13, 14 and 2 p.m. performances at Nov. 8 & 15. All performances will be in the Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, 431 West Berry St. n Fort Wayne.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students, those 65 and older and those under 18. Groups of 20 or more $12 per person. Arrange for tickets by calling 260-422-4226 or online at artstix.org

Entertaining Cooking Class  Nov. 9
Learn how to make restaurant quality appetizers without being a classically trained chef on Monday, Nov. 9. 
Learn some perfect crowd-pleasing recipes that will delight your guests at a bridal shower, engagement party, baby shower, or Sunday Fun Day with friends. These tips and tricks will allow you to be confident and stress-free in the kitchen, while creating an impressive, menu for your guests.
Class is taught by instructor Karen Reed at the Bluffton Middle School Culinary Arts Room (enter door #9) on Monday November 9th from 6-8 p.m. Cost is $10 per person, and limited to the first 12 paid participants. 
Participants will make cream puffs and watch demonstrations of other dishes and stay to enjoy samples.

Seeking vendors for Blackford Art Shop sales Nov. 14
Arts Place Blackford County Arts Center will be having a Holiday Art Shoppe on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The center is located at 107 West Washington St. in Hartford City. The center will provide tables for vendors at the cost of $10 per table. To participate make checks payable to Arts Place Inc. and mail to Blackford County Arts Center, Box 362, Hartford City, IN 47348.

Regular Blackford County Arts Center hours are Monday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 7 p.m.; Wednesday 3 to 7 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and every second Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Holiday show at Huntington’s theater Dec. 3-20
A Holiday Show will be presented at the New Huntington Theater during the weekends of December featuring vocals by professional New York based singers.
The “Vegas Lounge Style” crooner entertainment will be paired with a holiday themed buffet dinner. Theater-owner Joel Froomkin will be the emcee.
Buffet and show tickets are $49 while the show only ones are $35. There will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening shows from Dec. 3 to Dec. 20. Buffet served at 6 p.m. and show starting at 7:30 p.m. A show-only matinee will be held on Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. Groups of 15 or more will receive a 10% discount.
