Youth ballet at Indiana Tech Jan. 17
On Saturday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m. the Fort Wayne Ballet Youth Company will present a free performance, open to the public, at the Multi-Flex Theater located in Indiana Tech’s Academic Center.
Pieces to be performed by the Company will include Les Patineurs (The Skaters), Grand Pas de Quatre, Steadfast Tin Soldier and Hansel & Gretel.
The free performance was made possible in part through a grant to the university from The Auer Foundation. Free parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Academic Center at 1600 East Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne. Winter party at the Museum of Art
On Friday, Jan. 23, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art will hold a Winter Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Alicia Pyle Quartet and refreshments will be by Catablu. Admission is $5 for museum members and $12 for guests.
Exhibits currently viewable at the museum include:
Dance Theatre of Harlem: 40 Years of Firsts—through March 15.
Hunt Slonem: Magnificent Menagerie—through March 8.
America’s Spirit: Evolution of a National Style—through Jan. 25.
American Quilts from the Collection—through Feb. 1.
Regular hours for the museum are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Regular admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students (to age 21) and senior citizens over 65 and $20 for a family. There is a $1 admission fee the last Saturday of each month and admission is free every Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m..
