Blues singers at Portland’s Art Place April 5
Arts Place, the Portland Center, will present Lisa Biales and E.G. Kight in “Belle of the Blues” on April 5, at 7:30 p.m. This will be the final performance in the 2013-2014 Hall-Moser Passport Performing Arts Series. The center is located at 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
The Cascade Blues Association writes, “Lisa Biales has one of those great voices of our times.” Lisa certainly sings from the heart, writing playful music about the simple things in life that feel like they have been around forever.  Her down-home blues vernacular and finger style guitar have been praised Blues in Britain, the Cincinnati Enquirer, and Rootstime (Belgium). Her song Playing With Angels went to No. 1 in Australia on the Independent Folk Radio Charts. Lisa is joined by EG Kight, who has performed on A Prairie Home Companion and recently opened for BB King.
For tickets visit the facility, call Arts Place, the Portland Center, at 260-726-4809, toll free 866-539-9911 or visit www.artsland.org.
