Alzheimer’s Legal and Financial program April 9
“Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease,” a free program on care options and legal and financial issues related to Alzheimer’s disease, will be held Wednesday, April 9, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Senior Center, located at 233 W. Main St. The program is free to the public, but requires registration by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900.
This program will cover important legal and financial information to consider as the disease progresses and plans are made.  

FW gallery hop April 11
Fort Wayne will host a Downtown Gallery Hop: Spring Edition on Friday, April11, from 5 to 9 p.m. No tickets or registration are needed to participaate.
The self guided tour of six galleries will feature a variety of artwork for appreciation and for purchase. The galleries will include:

Quilt Show April 12 & 13
The Historic Forks of the Wabash and the Piecemakers Quilt Club will be host the 13th Annual Quilt Show Saturday, April 12 from 10 a.m. –4 p.m. and Sunday, April 13 from 1-4 p.m. at Huntington.
 Prize money will be awarded for first and second place quilts in six different categories including Youth divisions for quilters ages 8-17, Hand Quilted quilts, sizes 72” x72” to 120” x 120”, Machine Quilted quilts, 72” x 72” to 120”120”, Medium sized quilts, 48” x48” to 72” x 72”, Wall hangings no larger than 48” x 48” and Miscellaneous Quilted items (purses, jackets, place mats, etc.)
There will be a bed turning on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. by local quilter Shirley Pratt followed by a bed turning at 2 p.m. by Pauline Pflieger, another local quilter. There will be a bed turning on Sunday at 2 p.m. featuring local quilter and author Kent Mick.  
There will also be short demonstrations throughout the show and a Quilters Garage sale both days. Admission is just $2 for adults and children under 12 are $1. Each admission paid will receive a ballot for voting on a favorite piece. For more information call 356-1903 or 224-3755.

Theater Thursday April 17
Theater Thursday, a free movie for adults, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17 at the Wells County Public Library. The movies to be shown is “The Butler”. 
There will be free snacks, a 10 minute health info and prizes. For more information call 824-6069.
Peep Eating 
Contest April 19
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor their third annual peep eating contest right after the egg hunt Saturday, April 19 at Roush Park. 
The egg hunt is 12:30 p.m. for children then 12:45 for dogs. Eight lucky adults will stuff their face full of sugary marshmallows for a chance to win a prize. Sign up that day. Questions call 824-6069
