Hog Roast and Fall Festival Sept. 10th
The Friends of Five Points School will sponsor its annual hog roast and fall festival Saturday, Sept. 10th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The meal will include pulled pork sandwiches, ham and beans (cooked over an open fire), fried cornbread, applesauce, dressing and cookies.

In addition to visiting the restored 1876 school house, those attending can attend events that will honor the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, as well as a spelling bee at 1 p.m. Attendees can also purchase raffle tickets for a quilt made by Five Points School crafters.

The event is free; however a freewill offering will be accepted. All proceeds go toward further restoration and maintenance of the school and grounds. For more information call 260-824-5461.

Rally Day Sept. 11
Rally Day will be celebrated Sunday, Sept. 11, during and after the 10 a.m. worship service at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church in Uniondale.

The theme will be Patriot's Day and will feature patriotic music. Vickie Kibellius, Ann Moser and the choir will provide the special music.

Following the service, a carry-in dinner featuring several flavors of homemade ice cream will be available.

"Make and take" crafts will be available for children as well as outdoor games. The public is welcome to attend the event.

Free Caregiver Enrichment event Sept. 10
"When Caregiving Calls" will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fox Island County Park at 7324 Yohne Road, Fort Wayne.

Five Points School Liberty Center Days Sept. 10th & 11th
The Liberty Center Festival Committee will host the 10th annual Liberty Center Days Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Methodist Church.

A soup supper will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. The King's Four will entertain from 6 to 8 p.m.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, the festival will open with a car show at 11 a.m. in the drive and parking lot of Baptist Church. Bands to perform will include The Gospel Overdrive, Savannah, and Dave Band and Mountain Dewe Boys. Other activities will include a flea market, games for the kids, food and a raffle.
