Jamboree breakfast Sept. 3
A Jamboree breakfast will be available from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Montpelier Lions Club located at the corner of High and Jefferson streets. Available will be sausage gravy and biscuits, hash browns, juice and coffee.

Chicken/beef noodle dinner Sept. 4
A Jamboree noodle dinner will be held Sunday, Sept. 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montpelier Lions Club at the corner of High and Jefferson streets in Montpelier. All the trimmings will be available. Dine in or carry-out. A freewill donation will be accepted.

Science Central annual shutdown announced
Science Central will hold its annual fall shutdown Monday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Sept. 2, and Monday, Sept. 5, through Friday, Sept. 9.

It will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays during this time.

A.C.D. Festival Hoosier Tour Sept. 1
The A.C.D. Fetival Tour will be come through Portland Thursday, Sept. 1, at 9 a.m. More than 90 people and 40 to 45 Auburn Cord, Duesenberg and other classic vehicles dating from 1900-1936 will make their way through Decatur, Berne, Geneva, Bryant, Portland and Winchester.

Wake-Up Call For God’s People Sept. 11
Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church Street, will host a televised live simulcast of a presentation by Anne Graham Lotz (Billy Graham’s daughter), Joel Rosenberg, and the singing group Selah Sept. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. There is no charge for attendance.

The presentation will look at the times in which we are living from the standpoint of God’s Word, the Bible. Call 747-7424 for more information.
