Parks Department wants your summer movie vote
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation want your opinion.
They are taking a survey on facebook (like us at Bluffton Parks) for family friendly movies for the next “Free Movies in July” series. They want to know what five movies you would recommend. Please feel free to mention any that are not listed. Your help is greatly appreciated by calling 824-6069. Movies suggestions so far are: Minions, Inside Out, Pixels, Tomorrowland, Shaun the Sheep Movie, Cinderella, Pan, Paul Blart Mall Cop 2, The Good Dinosaur, The Spongebob Movie Sponge Out of Water, Norm of the North, Zootopia, BatKid Begins, Home.
Ice skating at Fort Wayne Headwaters
There might not be enough snow to go sledding in the area but the ice rink at Fort Wayne Headwaters Park offers the chance for that winter activity.
Hours for the open air rink are 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $3 for those 14 and younger, $5 and $5 for adults. Skaters may bring their own skates or rent them for $2 a pair.
“Kids Skate Free Days” are every Wednesday for those age 13 and under, with skate rental still $2. Skate sharpening also is available at $5 for hockey skates and $7.50 for figure skates. Concessions are by Mr. G’s.

Theater Thursday Feb. 18
Theater Thursday will be held Feb 18. The movie will be “August Rush.”
The Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department, Wells County Public Library and Bluffton Regional Senior Circle have partnered together to offer a free monthly movie for adults.
The movie will be shown at 10 a.m. at the Wells County Public Library. Free snacks, a 10 minute health info and prizes will be part of the program.
Masonic Lodge Pancake & Sausage Breakfast Feb. 20
Members of the Montpelier Masonic Lodge will sposor an All You Can Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast Feb. 20 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Cost is a $4 donation for adults and a $2 donation for kids. The lodge is located at the corner of High and Grant Streets (one block north of the Speedway Station in Montpelier.)
Deadline to apply for Parks Department summer jobs is Feb. 19
Summer Job Applications will be accepted until Feb. 19 for anyone who is age 16 and older as of June 1.
Jobs include: Pool Manager and Assistant Manager (must be 18); Pool Maintenance Personnel (must be 18); Tennis Supervisor; Tennis Instructors; Lifeguards/Swim Instructors; Concession Stand Supervisor (must be 18); Park Maintenance; Concession Stand/Basket room Worker; Skilled Mower (must be 18).

Horse & Pony Club auction Feb. 20
The Adams County 4-H Horse & Pony Club auction will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at 5 p.m. in the 4-H Expo Hall, Monroe. Doors open at 4 p.m. The auction begins with local donations. New and used tack will start approximately at 6:30 p.m. A silent auction will be held throughout the evening. Food will also be available.

Touch of Tuscany event March 6
Members of Ossian Nazarene Church will host A Touch of Tuscany Night with dinner and entertainment on March 6. Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. followed by music by a barbershop quartet. Blood Drive Feb. 22 in Ossian
Ossian Nazarene Church will host an American Redcross Blood Drive on Feb. 22 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Go to www.RedCross.org to sign up, or call the church office at 260-622-7449. Leave a message with your name, and number and someone will call you back.
