Montpelier Home Town Christmas Dec. 5
The fourth annual Montpelier Hometown Christmas will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Civic Center.  This year the Craft Show/Bazaar will open to the public at 9 a.m. There will be a variety of crafts, businesses, food booths and local churches selling everything from soup to nuts.
Santa will make an appearance for the little ones 10 a.m. to noon. Pictures with Santa will be free.  There will also be an appearance made by Frostina the Snow Woman from 10 a.m.-noon. 
Food items for sale will include chili and hot dogs.  The Chamber will be supplying cookies and hot chocolate. Vendors are donating door prizes for the raffles. Tickets will be available for purchase.
At 12:30 Show Time Dance Academy will  give a winter performance. At 1:30 p.m. Montpelier Elementary Choir will sing.
In addition there will be a cookie contest.  Two prizes will be given; one for a child and one for an adult.  Cookies must be brought to the civic center no later than 11 a.m. Have the recipe printed off and bring with the entry to share the winning recipe in the local newspapers.  There will be prizes awarded for this event.
Admission is free to the public.

Faculty/alumni exhibit at USF Dec. 5-20
Art created by alumni and faculty members of the University of Saint Francis will be showcased from Dec. 5-20, at the Rolland Art Center, 2701 Spring St. in Fort Wayne.
An opening reception  will be held on Saturday Dec. 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. Other viewing hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.
Talent Scholarship Day at the University of Saint Francis will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rolland Art Center. To reserve a time to meet with faculty members call 260-399-7700, ext. 8001.

American Auxiliary selling Flower certficates
For the third year members of Auxiliary Unit 111 of Bluffton will sell flower certficates for $25. The certificates may be redemmed at the Posy Pot at 126 W. Townley Street from Jan. 1, 2016 through Dec. 31, 2016.
Auxiliary members will be selling the certificates throughout the month of December. Those interested may also contact Cheryl Mann at 260-824-3859.

‘Robert Rogers to speak Dec. 6 in Ossian

Robert Rogers, a father who lost his wife and four children in a flood in Kansas in 2003, will speak at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at Ossian Nazarene Church at 302 N. Metts. Robert is a wroship leader, pianist, songwriter and authoer of “Into the Deep: one man’s story of how tragedy took his family, but could not take his faith.” For more information log onto: www.OssianNaz.org.
