Kaitlynn Weimer benefit Sept. 6
A Karing for Kaitlynn  Weimer Benefit Breakfast will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Ossian  from 7 a.m. to noon. There will be a silent auction, a bounce house, face painting, a balloon artist, games and more. A free will donation will be taken during the event.
Kaitlynn is the 17-month-old  daughter of Tia and Justin Weimer of Ossian. She has  Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly and is cortically blind. 
The family is trying to raise funds for HBOT therapy, which is not covered by insurance. For more information call 260-704-0409.

National Neighborhood Day Sept. 7
The Bluffton Parks Department welcomes Wells County families to Kehoe Park for a free meal and entertainment from Science Central Sunday, Sept. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Those attending can learn about Amazing Air Pressure and Matter.  Demonstrations will reveal the way air pressure influences everything around us.  Liquid Nitrogen is always a smash hit and kids will learn the changing states of matter down to the molecular level.
Dinner includes hotdog, chips, cookies and a drink funded by the United Way of Wells County. This event is scheduled on Sept. 7 from 4-6 p.m. Be sure to bring your lawn chair for a comfortable seating.

C&C Fellowship offers event Sept. 13
Stable of Hope, a division of C&C Bible Fellowship in  Berne, is planning a special event to honor kids with disabilities on Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 4383S-150E, Berne. 
The free event will give kids a chance to pet a pony, ride a horse, ride in a pony cart or an Amish buggy. 
There will be a  hay ride in a special built wagon just for kids a petting zoo, free lunch and more.  For more information call 260-589-9022. Parental release form signed required.

Black Box theater in September
“Over the River and Through the Woods” will be presented at the ArtsLab Black Box Theatre on the weekends of Sept. 12-14, Sept. 19-21 and Sept. 26-28.
The Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m. and the Sunday ones at 2 p.m. Jeffery Moore directed the production and members of the caste are Cory Schmidt, Carolynn Stouder, John Brennan, Maggie Kole Hunter, James Del Priore and JoAnne Kircher.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors and $17 for those age 23 and younger. The box office is open from noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and the phone number is 260-424-5220.
