Bluffton Farmer’s Market Saturday
The Farmer’s Market is open at the Dutch Mill Plaza (Main Street at the bridge) on Saturdays from 8 am to noon and Wednesdays from 4 pm to 7 p.m.
Current features include baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, green beans, red beets, potatoes, peaches, blueberries and blackberries, creative cards, wood ornaments, puzzles, and more.
FWMA seeking docents
The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is looking for quality individuals to join the respeced group of volunteeers known as docents that lead school gallery tours.
Over 6,000 student visitors each year depend on this group for visual arts education as a supplement to their classroom curriculum. Participants do not have to be an educator with an advanced degree, but they must love art and communicating with people as the museum seeks to fulfill its mission of changing lives with art.

Free movie at Kehoe Park Aug. 9
The Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor their next Free Family Movie Night at Kehoe Park Friday night Aug. 9 at dusk (8:45 p.m,) Those attending should bring their own lawn chair, blankets, bug spray and snacks. This week’s movie will be Oz the Great and Powerful. For more information call 824-6069.
Sheets Wildlife Museum Movie Day Aug. 10
Sheets Wildlife Museum and Learning Center will be sponsor a movie day Saturday, August 10. The movie will be free. Those who would like a tour of the museum, the price would be $1 per person. The movie will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last approximately 55 minutes.
The movie will be Shark Quest. It follows underwater photographers, Rob Torelli and Mark Priest, as they free dive with Great White sharks from South Africa to New Guinea. This extraordinary experience brings them face to face with feeding sharks, manta rays and even a Bryde’s Whale, one of the few whales that prefer warmer water and are near extinction. There will be an easy quiz with the top three youth receiving a gift certificate to be used in the museum gift shop. Seating is limited. Call 356-9453 to reserve a seat.
Spike and the Bulldogs to perform Aug. 10 in Berne
Spike and the Bulldogs will perform songs of the 50’s and 60’s at Muensterberg Plaza Clock Tower at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.
Food will be available for purchase. The inclement weather site is Burkhalter Auditorium at South Adams High School at 1075 Starfire Way, Berne.
Gospel Concert in Ossian Aug. 11
Members of the Ossian Church of the Nazarene will sponsor a gospel concert Sunday, Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. One Accord will be the featured group performing that night. A love offering will be taken for the admission charge.
Senior Care Services Info Aug. 21
Senior Care Services is a new member of the LifeStream portfolio of programs to help individuals, families and caregivers navigate through the world of providing extra support and care for their aging loved ones or those in their families who have disabilities.
LifeStream is the Aging and Disability Resource Center for East Central Indiana. The agency helps people in Delaware, Blackford, Grant, Madison, Henry, Randolph and Jay counties with independent living solutions.
Ean Taylor, senior care advisor, will talk about the new Senior Care Services during two public sessions planned for August at Kennedy Library in Muncie. The program is scheduled for 1-2 p.m. Aug. 14 and will be repeated 6:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 21.
The senior care advisor works with screening, arranging and monitoring in-home and community-based services as indicated by an individualized service plan.
