Art-themed ‘Renaissance in Roanoke’ set for Saturday, Oct. 9, in downtown

The annual "A Renaissance in Roanoke" festival will take place this weekend, on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Roanoke.

The festival centers around art, and features art-themed events throughout the day.

The Juried Art Marketplace will be going on the entire day, lining Main Street with art booths featuring art created by area residents. Festival-goers can view art and watch demonstrations of various mediums of art......
