Gearhead Run at 4-H Park
4-H Junior Leaders will be selling pizzas at the annual Gear Head Run Saturday at the Wells County 4-H Park in Bluffton. Registration is 8 a.m. to noon; awards will be handed out at 4 p.m.

GED Testing is June 22 & 23 at the WCPL
Two-day GED testing will be held on June 22 and 23 from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wells County Public Library. Testing is a two-day process. Those interested in taking the test must have been a resident of Indiana for 30 days. Three forms of identification are needed, including an Indiana driver’s license or Indiana ID card. The program kicks off with the meal at 12:30 p.m. The meat dish will be provided by Upper Wabash Interpretive Services (UWIS). Seniors should bring a dish to pass, their own table service and $1 donation to help defray the cost of the provided meat dish.

Free breakfast for seniors May 7
In recognition of May as National Older Americans Month, Swiss Village and the Berne Rotary Club will be co-sponsoring their 20th annual Senior Breakfast Friday, May 7 from 7 to 9 a.m. Last year, over 300 area seniors attended the free breakfast at Swiss Village, located at 1350 West Main Street in Berne.
The hardy breakfast will consist of scrambled eggs, biscuits, pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. All seniors are welcome to attend for a time of good food and fellowship. In recognition of May as National Older Americans Month, Swiss Village and the Berne Rotary Club will be co-sponsoring their 20th annual Senior Breakfast Friday, May 7 from 7 to 9 a.m. Last year, over 300 area seniors attended the free breakfast at Swiss Village, located at 1350 West Main Street in Berne.
The hardy breakfast will consist of scrambled eggs, biscuits, pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. All seniors are welcome to attend for a time of good food and fellowship. At 1 p.m. at Mississinewa Reservoir learn how to use the disc golf course with members of the Peru Disc Golf Club. Discs will be provided. On May 2 guests can enjoy a “cowboy breakfast at 9 a.m. at the campground gate and playground area.

Ministry opportunities include vocals, worship band, and skits, but are not limited to these areas only. Any youth will a desire to serve and minister is welcome.
Attic Treasures Sale April 24
Liberty Center United Methodist Church Youth Group will sponsor the Attic Treasures sale Saturday, April 24, from 8 a.m. until noon in the church fellowship hall. The youth will also have a bake sale. All proceeds will go to the youth group fund. The church and fellowship hall are handicapped-accessible.
Jennifer's Closet Benefit April 25
Jennifer's Closet Benefit Concert will be held Sunday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Markle Church of Christ. Featured performer will be Debbie Roth. Proceeds will go toward a $75,000 goal to help purchase and renovate a building in downtown Markle to house Jennifer's Closet. The ministry helps families in Huntington and Wells Counties by providing free good, used clothing and new socks and underwear. Call 260-824-3950 or 260-273-0716.

Stroke Prevention program April 22
The Arthur and Gloria Muselman Wellness Pavilion will host a Stroke Prevention presentation April 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. The program is sponsored by Adams Memorial Hospital.
Learn information about how to recognize a stroke/brain attack and ways to prevent them from happening. The program will be presented by Julia McQueen, a Health Service Coordinator for Life Line Screening of Fort Wayne.
